Me & My Foster Family

Me & My Foster Family offers municipalities tools to monitor the well-being and learning of children placed in out-of-home care. These tools incorporate assessments from foster parents, the children's primary teachers or educators, and the children themselves if they are 11 years or older. Through this process, it is possible to uncover how foster children are faring, allowing for comparisons of their well-being and learning with their peers in Denmark. The project aims to monitor the well-being and learning of foster children with the goal of providing a basis for relevant interventions. This can, in the long term, strengthen the children's opportunities to shape their future by promoting education, employment and health, and preventing social problems.
